I was on the way to campus this morning, riding in the overcrowded train, when I accidentally listened to this conversation.
"Ngapain sih 'ntu anak pake sekolah tinggi-tinggi... jadi orang yang penting siap kerja..."
An old man sitting in front of me was talking about his son's or nephew's future. And he suddenly said something even more interesting.
"Liat 'ntu Presiden Amerika yang baru. Sekolahnya aja 'kan dulu di Menteng! Iya, anak Menteng dia! Tapi nyatanye bisa toh jadi Presiden Amerika."
I guess somebody should tell this old man that Barrack Obama continued his study in Harvard after he went to that Menteng school.
