Clowning Around

The Western people's portrayal of a clown is always consists of a man w/ curly, rainbow-colored hair, baggy clothes, and most importantly, red nose.

(I don't think I need to post any picture of a clown here. It's your loss if you've never seen a clown in your lifetime)

While Chinese clowns had white nose instead.

See the difference?

It's kinda strange as white is the 'bad-luck' color for Chinese. Kan qi lai, it's because clown are believed to have these evil, cunning traits on their personality, no matter how funny they are.

Honestly, I always thought they're kinda scary. Wonder why they showed up at every kids' birthday parties.
